After the success of the previous editions, the laboratories of video making telling the wonderful experience of the Divine Comedy are back! In this last two years about 800 secondary school students attended this innovative video lab.
A project in collaboration with Portale Ragazzi of Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze that excites students and allows them to tell, in just 60 seconds, images, gestures and words of the Divine Comedy.
The idea is to continue to give the possibility to the students, guided by teachers and team of technicians and educators joined by Franco Palmieri (artistic director of the project), to observe reality through Dante's eyes and use the most congenial tools to tell about his opera acquiring skills to create, select and edit photos, drawings, live footage and music.
The laboratory will take place at school and will have the support of PortaleRagazzi.it a useful community considered as an important basis for exchange of experiences and suggestions.
In the last year have joined 16 classes of lower secondary schools that have produced 30 videos screened at the Odeon Cinema in Florence.
Reaching the second edition, the project proposes a training path and education to Dante's poetry, performed by laboratories in schools with the support of the main Instituition of Comune di Prato
The first edition involved 15 classes that are challenged with the creation of 17 videos, all submitted during the awards ceremony April 16 at the Teatro Metastasio in Prato. Due to the great enthusiasm Culter proposes laboratories that tend to bring out the creative experience of children through an innovative approach to the opera, using languages and cross-media with the aim of producing a video of a maximum 1 minute length by each class attended the course.
The ability to synthesize in a minute the human experience told in the Divine Comedy through videos, photos, drawings, music is the great challenge of the project.
